GUIDELINES TO SINCERE FOLLOWERS OF BHAGAWAN SHRI LAHARI kRISHNA
I. HOW TO GET RID OF OUR KARMA?
Everyone knows that the root cause of all our sufferings is our past Karmas. There are two types of Karmas. They are: “Genma Paavam” and “Karma Paavam”. Genma Paavam is the Karma that made us take birth into the world. Karma Paavam is the one that we commit after our birth. Due to the influence of these two types of Karmas we are constantly suffering. We get caught into the cycle of birth, disease, old-age and death. We suffer terribly. There are some sayings of the people like the following:
(1) Our Karmas won’t vanish even if we go to Kasi.
(2) Every happening in our lives whether good or bad is due to Fate.
(3) My time is not favourable to me etc.,
We have repeatedly heard all these words over and over again and got them imprinted in our brain. We say: “We must enjoy the fruit of our Karmas - good or bad. There is no way to avoid them.” We further believe: “Even if the Almighty God comes we cannot get rid of our Karmas. The Fate written on our fore-heads cannot be erased. Nobody can win Fate. Even our intellect however bright it may be will not help us. It will only follow what Fate dictates. We must reap what we sow. We cannot get rid of our evil karmas.
This thought is deeply rooted in the minds of all people. If we cannot get this question resolved we will never know what to do. Is there a way to get rid of our evil karmas? Can the blessing of the holy saints of God remove our karma? Can the Avatars of God remove our Karma? In the past yugas, the holy saints and the Avatars themselves could not totally remove the Karmas of the people. They themselves suffered under the influence of Karmas. This is well exemplified in the Puranas. People still suffered due to their past sins. They didn’t have total victory over their five senses. They are still under the clutches of birth and death. Are the Avatars who appeared on the Earth in the different Yugas, God Almighty? Or are they messengers sent by Him?
We get up in the morning at “Brahma-Muhurtha” (4.30 a.m. to 6 a.m.) and praise Sri Man Narayana. If we do so we will be filled with the flood of Divine Bliss. Our soul will overflow with joy. The presence of God will be with us throughout the day. All the works we perform will be blessed by God.
II. BRAHMA-MUHURTHA STOTHRAM
Apart from the Pooja (Worship) done at “Brahma Muhurtha”, another Pooja very much liked by Sri Man Narayana is the observance of “Holy Vratham” on Saturday. We must concentrate on God totally on this day. We must not be immersed in our mundane activities. We should keep the day holy. We must not travel much on that day and pay social visits. It is a day set apart totally for Lord Narayana. We can observe “Mowna Vratham” (the vow of silence) to avoid unnecessary prattle. Talking about God is not prohibited. Taking “fasting” (drinking only water) is recommended, but not compulsorily. We can eat if we feel hungry. The main idea is that we must be totally focussed on Sri Man Narayana. We can read Vedas and perform ‘Kirtanas’ (Praises of God). If we observe this Holy Vratham on Saturday (Friday sundown to Saturday sundown) we will be greatly blessed physically and spiritually. People who keep this Vrtham devotedly will get the direct “Dharshan” of Sri Man Narayana.
III. "HOLY-VRATHAM" ON SATURDAY
The “Divine Teachings” imparted by Bhagawan now is what is called as “Parama Veda”. We must read all the “Upadesham” (Teachings) of Sri Man Narayana and put it into practice. His teaching is the “Highest Vidhya” (Perfect Knowledge). This will show us the way to “Deathlessness”. You will get GLORIOUS BODIES and fly away to Sri Vaihundam when the Yuga ends. To understand “Parama Veda” we must have a fundamental knowledge of all the revealed scriptures of the different religions. (Bhagawad Geetha, Koran and Bible). We must read these Vedas daily-- at least for one hour.
IV. PARAMA VEDA
“Nama Sankirthanam” is the recommended upasana for Kali-Yuga as per the Shastras. We must repeat the Name of Bhagawan Shri Lahari Krishna whenever we can and wherever we can. It must be always in our mind. This will cleanse our soul and give us eternal peace. The recommended mantras are:
I.Shri Lahari Krishna Jeyam
II.Shri Lahari Om
III.Om Namo Bhagawathey Shri Lahari Krishnaayaa
V. "NAMA SANKIRTANAM" - PRAISING THE NAME OF GOD
There is one other duty. We must never forget to read daily what is called as the “KALI-YUGA BHAGAWATHAM”. This is nothing but the life-story of Bhagawan Shri Lahari Krishna. This will teach us practically how to live perfectly the principles of the PARAMA VEDA.
